I don't want to beat you up...I know you feel bad enough BUT....
If you REALLY want to be a nurse then you need to pull it together.
The fact your appt slipped your mind ( ????) totally baffles me. You are not magically going to pass...you need to start studying. I know you aren't because if you had been you would have been working toward your appt today as D day... does that make sense?
Do you WANT to be a nurse? I think you should go back to your school and see an advisor. Not passing so many times, the forgotten appt...well they just stand out as red flags to the fact that maybe you need to talk to someone about WHY these things are happening and maybe once you talk to them about it.....it will help you move past this self created chaos you've gotten in and decide whether you want to continue or want to do something else.
I wish you lots of luck and prayers that you end up where you need to be and that you get what you want.
I do know that you lose your GN status 45 days from the date that you graduate from school, so if it has been that long, then yes you have now lost it since you didn't test within that time frame. I lost mine b/c my school took 6 weeks to get me my transcripts and then it took another 3 weeks for the BON to get their crap done so I never had it. But I do know it is the 45 day limit
You lose your GN status once you take your first NCLEX exam (and you have to take the NCLEX within 45 (?) days I believe it is. That means you cannot work as a graduate nurse. I was hired prior to my NCLEX exam. I was a GN hire, the thing is once you take the NCLEX one of two things happens, you lose your GN status and become a licensed nurse OR you lose your GN status and you have to retake the NCLEX.
You have already lost your GN status.
I had a similar situation. I didn't forget my appointment, but I did not have the proper ID due to it being stolen the night before. Pearson was no help, wouldn't answer their phones so I went to the center and tried taking it with a SSC, Birth cert, and 5 photo IDs from previous colleges, works, etc. Now I have to reregister and pay again, not sure if I have to reapply with the board of nursing in ohio though?
