okay hey i've known about this forum for awhile and thought i should sign up but i'ma tell you little about myself. So I have been trying to get my license now for 3 years and taken it 5 times now which all ended in failure, but i haven't given up yet and still pursuing the dream. =] But I messed up today I totally forgot about my appointment and i missed it what should I do? in the shortest amount of time to recover and will i be in trouble? i'm kinda sad, stressed, and lost.... Please don't bag on me i know i'm an idiot for missing my appointment i need helpful advice guys please and thank you =]

It is all very frustrating and to top it off because of the holiday no where was open. I voicemail and emailed the Ohio Bon because I know all states are different. I'm hoping to god I don't have to redo my entire application.

how long have you been waiting for your ATT now?

I was scheduled to take the exam on Jan 19th @8am after they messed up with the ID, i took a break and got over it. i sent the papers and made sure it was certified mail not regular mail. i called them a few days later and they confirmed that it was received on feb 6th. the woman told me that it will take 25 days because she thought i took the exam on the 19th... i didn't feel like talking i just hang after i told her ok and bye. so i called this morning again and explained that i never took the exam, she told she is sending in my inform for review took my number and email and told me to wait 24 hrs i will hear from them iam waiting. you have to keep calling they will never review your paper on their own.

I don't want to beat you up...I know you feel bad enough BUT.... If you REALLY want to be a nurse then you need to pull it together. The fact your appt slipped your mind ( ????) totally baffles me. You are not magically going to pass...you need to start studying. I know you aren't because if you had been you would have been working toward your appt today as D day... does that make sense? Do you WANT to be a nurse? I think you should go back to your school and see an advisor. Not passing so many times, the forgotten appt...well they just stand out as red flags to the fact that maybe you need to talk to someone about WHY these things are happening and maybe once you talk to them about it.....it will help you move past this self created chaos you've gotten in and decide whether you want to continue or want to do something else.I wish you lots of luck and prayers that you end up where you need to be and that you get what you want.
Don't be judgemental.

Yeah, the Ohio Board of Nursing has a rep of being slow so I'm going to be calling every day. I actually live in the Cleveland area and am calling after work today to see if I drive to the board of nursing if they will process my paperwork right then and there (online it says please arrive 15 minutes before closing to ensure time to process paperwork). Otherwise I guess I will send it certified mail and call every day. I already have registered with Pearson Vue, and I honestly didn't think I was going to have to reapply with the board because I didn't even test and it was something completely out of my control. Soo annoying, I can't stand all of these places just robbing me of my money.

Hi everyone,

When I register I didn't wanted my middle initial on my lisence and even my school didn't have that in records. But my driver lisence shows "N" after my first name. Do you think that could be a issue? If so who should I call?

I would go to the testing center and show them compared to your ATT. I just had to get a new license (see above) and because mine was stolen I had to get my entire full legal name (first middle and last). My application for the BON has my middle name, but none of my stuff with pearson does I just realized.

I am also from Ohio and board does have my middle initial but pearson vue website doesn't but on ATT it does mention to have exact first and last name. I will call the center to find out more info. Thanks for your response.

If you check out other forums, you'll see a lot of people w the same question. I looked at the NCLEX bulletin and it says the first and last name have to match, nothing about middle name, but I would go check just to be sure because they have absolutely no remorse for anything going on. My SCHOOL even called the board of nursing and told them my situation, and I still have to reapply and do all of that. As if taking the test isn't stressful enough...
