Hi everyone,
I have a question. I plan on applying to the nursing program next month. I am pretty sure I will not get in, not because of my GPA. This month I plea bargained for a wet reckless. In the state of California this is a lesser DUI charge when the Blood Alcohol level was very close to or at the legal limit. I am so upset. I believe it was incorrect because of some circumstances but I settled for the wet reckless instead of bringing it to trial with a chance of losing the case. I do have 30 days to take it back and plead non guilty and take it to trial. So.....anyways has anyone got in to the nursing program with this on their record? This recent? I am so scared because I have been working so hard to get my prereq's finished and this happened. I do not want to have to wait seven years. I am a good candidate with ambition and a clean driving and criminal record otherwise. This makes me so mad that something like this can alter my future plans!! Please any help, suggestions, opinions, or personal experiences.

questions we seem to be encountering more and more often have to do with the effects of a criminal history on nursing licensure:
these are questions that the members of allnurses.com cannot answer. the only reliable source of information is your state board of nursing.
