Most travel agencies want you to have at least 1, but generally 2 years of experience before they will take you. Trust me, you will want those 2 years of experience.
It doesn't sound like she is a travel nurse, she just got lucky with a new job in a new state who paid for her to relocate & a sign on bonus.

I graduated my associate degree RN program May 30, 2015. I accepted a Labor and Delivery position! I started September 1, 2015. I was paid relocation and a sign on bonus (yes even as a new grad!). I did have to move from Massachusetts to New Mexico, but it has been totally worth it. I love my job, I love the area. Never stop chasing your dreams. Good luck.
