Yep, Frankie's right, ROTC !
Sometime's you have to do the "pretend" thing, the "make believe" game. Find another way of looking at it that is either more "fun", or as a direct challenge. I've never been good at "abstracts" or anything I can't directly "put my hands on".. concrete things. (except for psych, interpersonal relationships, etc. These I could RELATE to...) So I had to find a way to conquer these "abstract" chem atoms and the like, which I could not visualize. I found little ways to make them "come alive"... use your imagination.. it works ! Try to make them "real" in some fashion and it will help. Hang in there ! There are some good books out there that also help for "visual learners".. pm me if you're interested and I'll send you the names (don't think we're 'sposed to advertise or promote on the BB..) They're inexpensive, and REALLY helped me a LOT !!!
Don't give up ! Where there is a will, there IS a way ! Keep holding on to the WILL part.. the rest will come !
Wow, I read this just as I was studying for my next Organic Chem exam. Yes, it is hard, and there's lots of info. I make up acronyms for everything, use 3x5 cards, read and outline chapters and work the problems in the book. Our prof also gives us extra credit we can complete so you better believe I do that! I got an 82 on my last exam w/ 10 extra credit points-so a 92. We'll see how I do on this next exam. Shew, it is hard though! Best of luck,
Amy :)

I'm having SO much trouble lately in my classes! Last year I had NO problems with A&P and intro to Chem. Now I'm on the verge of failing Organic Chem and Microbiology! I haven't changed my study habits or anything, and I just don't understand what is up with this....ugh. Sorry to vent...thanks for listening!
