I just graduated Nursing school on 12-18-08

Ok so I just graduated LPN school on 12/18/08. I applied for my ATT yesterday and I am still waiting.

I live in Orlando, FL and I am having a hard time trying to find LPN related jobs. I have been on careerbuilder constantly and can't find anything except nursing home stuff. I don't want that. I would rather a doctor's office. Any suggestions?

Congratulations!! The office jobs in my area are rarely advertised so you may need to put out some feelers with any contacts you have or even start calling and ask if they will accept your resume. Good luck and keep in mind that as we all know, LPNs are most often utilized in LTC so that may end up being a place to start to get experience.

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on graduating school. It's been a long journey and you got through it.

I don't know how long Florida takes to process the paperwork to get you approved for the ATT but it takes a few weeks out here in California for our board to approve the paperwork once it gets there.

I registered for my att almost 1 month after I graduated and didn't get my att until a month after that. I scheduled my test within a few days after getting my att to get it out of the way and so I can start working ASAP. Another reason for my att taking so long is that my school sent the paperwork to our board in a bundle...everyone in the class had theirs sent up together...and didn't actually sent it until the beginning of November.

I hope you get your att by the end of the month and PASS your test the first time. I am still waiting for my results. I am expecting mine to come in next week or the one after...good luck to you!!!

:ancong!: If you know places that you would like to work--it wouldn't hurt to send them a resume--even if they are not advertising an open position. You never know they may just give you a try---and if not atleast you know you tried! Good luck and congrats!!

In the last 3 years at our school, we have only had 1 person not pass the boards.

I'm considering working for PSA but I'm really nervous about it.
