I am really nervours that all my test will be the same and I wont pass this class, because even if I get an A in my lecture class, if I dont pass the lab portion, I fail the whole course... How do you study for your anatomy labs....I really need help! The next practical will be Muscles...How did you study?

Our class is Anatomy on it's own (we take physiology the following term). Tips I have are:

mneumonics - google medical mneumonics. They REALLY helped me. You can make up any that work for you. --- Our Oval Office Teeters Tomorrow As Florida Counts George Versus Al's Hangingchads. May not work for everyone, but I make my way through the cranial nerves that way.

Open Lab - the more time you have on the cadavers (if you have them) and models the better. As for pictures, make sure you check your school's policy. We had several cadavers in each of our labs and therefore were not allowed to take pictures of anything in the rooms.

Repetition. Take time every day to run through the structures you're trying to learn. Anatomy is not a subject that most people you can cram for and do well.

Use the internet to find blank pictures of everything you need to know. I bought length wise post it "tabs" and covered the labels that I needed to know with these tabs. It was an efficient system to learn them....I just pulled the tab up to see what the answer was and did this a kajillion times!!!!!
