Look at your financing and your options. You should definitely do your research and see which school has a good passing rate for NCLEX and clinical rotations. I am currently attending a Community College in the south bay, took me two years to finish my pre-reqs. I am going to attend University of San Francisco nursing program this upcoming fall and it is a really good school. Even though the price of the school is a lot, i truly believe it is a good investment. At the end of the day, you want to pass NCLEX and take in what you get in nursing school. best of luck

If you are located in the Bay Area, then you can apply to community colleges in the east and south bay. Chabot Community College, Ohlone Community College, De Anza Community College and City College are all great schools with very good nursing programs. best of luck

Anatomy and Physiology was definitely a time consuming class. I studied everyday but it really paid off. I am taking microbiology right now so well see on how it goes. Study hard for anatomy and physiology because it will pay off! best of luck

You can do it, i am 19 years old and i took those classes last quarter and after hours of studying i earned a 4.0. try not to get distracted when it comes to midterms and finals and always have you eyes on the prize. i stayed home so many times just to study 2 weeks before my AP-1 midterm and final. best of luck!

taking pre requisites means that you are a pre nursing student.

Hello Everyone, I have a question regarding deadlines for California schools (Cal states and private schools). I will complete ALL of my pre requisites from my community college in spring 2011. I would like to apply for schools for fall 2011 admission, however i have heard from my fellow class mates that for some schools ( i don't know which one) you need to complete everything before you fill out an application and there are other schools that you can still take one or two pre requites while applying. So my question is, which one is right? If so, which schools accept what? Thank you

My Anatomy and Physiology book cost 500 dollars at my college bookstore. So i always use Chegg.com: Cheap Textbook Rentals. Best way to Rent Books for College, they have great service and very good prices (I got my book for 80 dollars on the website) hope this helps!

@Brighten- congrats on your acceptance to east bay! No, i have not taken the TEAS yet but i will of summer 2011. I have another year left of pre reqs and will start applying for fall 2011 admissions. is anyone here a pre nursing student between the ages of 19-21?

Thank you everyone for replying back! I am 19 years old and i doing my pre reqs at a CC in the bay area. My school is a quarter system so there is anatomy and physiology for 3 quarters, 40 A-B-C. My non sci pre reqs (psychology, speech etc) i have a 3.8. I have not done microbio or my chemistry series yet, just my GE and anatomy and physiology classes. For 40 A-B and i have a letter grade of a B, i am suppose to have B+ ( For 40 A-B I was 5 points away from a letter grade of a A) but my school does not allow or (-) or (+). I am just looking around people's GPA and what kind of program they are in/ or aiming for? I would like to go to a BSN program.
