After spending days agonizing and studying for my final while losing sleep because of worry, I made it out with a B.
What is a good way to prepare for NCLEX?

If you went to a good school, you shouldn't have to do anything extraordinary to prepare. To be on the safe side, take one of the major review courses that take a day or two and do some practice questions out of 1 or 2 books (or websites). Then get on with it.
The longer you wait and the more you agonize, the more you will suffer -- and higher anxiety won't help your performance.
Congratulations on graduation -- and good luck with the next step.

Congrats! People say Hurst.com or ncsbn.org for content review, KAPLAN for content, test strategies (which I've heard from some people who took the NCLEX these past 2 months did not really help them) and KAPLAN'S Qbank (Select All That Apply questions and other practice questions) and UWorld for practice tests plus Lacharity book "Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment" is great! All are not needed though. I just finished the KAPLAN online course, will be reviewing KAPLAN'S Qbank, utilizing UWorld and brushing up with LaCharity

Congrats on Finishing nursing school, it's always the hardest part but once done it's a relief. To prepare for the Nclex they are two books I will recommend that helped me after taking Nclex more than once
Lacharity priotization and delegation do the question and rationales at least twice especially the case studies. They seem really hard but it's worth it.
Kaplan premier Nclex...... 2014-2015 read the test taking strategies in it and if you can use the strategies to answer a few questions in the book then you are good. Do your best and PRAY too. Good luck.
P.S read the questions carefully and use ur scratch paper to write out what is asking you, if you have no clue take a deep breath and read again using the Kaplan strategy of physical vs psychosocial or assessment vs implementation.
Do not rush cause quality is better than quantity but use your time wisely

Saunders NCLEX prep questions. 20 day...know them inside out. The next day...20 more. Know them inside out. Then the next day...20 more. Know them inside out. Before you know it, you will know the answers to about 500 questions in less than a month. Make sure you test yourself with all the prior day's answers added into your current day's 20 questions. This is where you really start to memorize the answers. This is how me and my fiancé passed our boards first time around. Pretty nerve racking on test day. Just eat a good breakfast. I did not sleep a single minute the night before the test, yet passed with like 75 questions. I can say with confidence Saunders practice questions made the difference in my experience. GOOD LUCK!!

passing has more to do with what kind of student you have been and how you feel about what is safe to do when dealing with something you have never heard of so dont make yourself sick studying and do only review lab values day before test and get to bed early two nites before test. hit the free flashcards u get online, google for safety and interventions, and pharm flashcards, know generic and brand names of meds. know how nurse will see first and what would nurse do first. hit the cardio and gi sections of nclex book for sure. they take your pic for your license that day too.

Since you are no longer a nursing student, your thread has been moved to the NCLEX Discussion forum. Congratulations to you, and good luck with the NCLEX!
