I would suggest continuing on with your job search and apply for other jobs. It's possible the company is really slow at hiring (I once got a call 6 months later!) but it's also possible that you did not get the position. Either way, it would be good to focus your energy on applying for other jobs.
I attended an interview 2 weeks ago today. I thought i did well. It was for another nursing role in the same hospital i currently work in. Only another ward. My referees have not been contacted.I am in Australia, NSW Health is the entity i'm applying too.
Could i have not got the job and they don't tell me, Could they have a very slow recruitment process.
It's really confusing i put so much effort in to the interview. Yet now i feel it was all a waste. Self esteem has lowered almost to feeling pointless going for other roles.
Interviewing is never a waste. It can take a VERY long time for managers and HR to communicate.
Two weeks is nothing for management and HR to get together, and then make you an offer or send a denial notice. I have waited for MONTHS for feedback.
You cannot let your self esteem be crushed by ANY one interview. I had 20 + interviews before I found my dream job.
Even if you did not get THAT position.. keep on.. keeping on.
Best of luck, let us know how it turned out.
