I got my acceptance email today at University of Cincinnati and I am thrilled. I went into nursing to become a CRNA and now my dream is starting to become a reality. Now I need advice on funding this expensive venture. I know you can sign with groups and use loans, but I am wondering what are the best options.

beedog- did you (or classmates) take any of the core courses ahead of time during the (almost) year before school started? I think I may have a few transfer over from a previous MSN at XU but not sure what yet.
Perkizme,
Alot of my classmates got either Adv. Health Assessment, and Adv. Physiology done early--the first Qtr. is pretty challenging--anything you can get done early will help--just make sure you have enough hrs. to keep your loans, scholarships etc. good if you need too. I cannot remember what full-time is for grad school, I don't think it s 12hrs--more like 10-ish. It can be a bit sticky if you don't have enough to take to be considered full-time. Congrats to all of you who made the cut. I well remember what last year felt like for me around this time. My best advice is to enjoy whatever free time you can, enjoy your buddies, spouses, and sig. others while you can--you will be eating, living, and breathing anesthesia next Fall.

hey guys!
I too was THRILLED to receive my UC acceptance email last week
I currently live in Denver, Colorado and my fiance and I are planning our move back across the country in July. That being said, I will not have the opportunity to take classes early at UC which makes me a little nervous...
Beedog, you said you came from out of state-- did you take classes somewhere else that transferred in, or did you just take everything first semester?? Would you recommend that I talk to someone in the department to see if a class would transfer from a school out here, or is it a big deal to just take them all first quarter? What did you do?
The vast majority of my classmates are taking all of them during the first qtr. like me--I guess anything you can do ahead of time helps as long as you clear it with the department. Personally, I would advise you to enjoy any time you have to do things you like to do with whomever you like to do them with and don't worry about school. It is going to take up all of your time once you start anyway--no way around it.

Congrats to you all who got in! I'm on the alternate list. What's my chance? Really depressed now, need some advice please.
Hope for the best! And if that does not work out, you got picked as an alternate to one of the top programs in the country--I know of several fully qualified people who interviewed and did not get a nod at all. Someone who is accepted is bound to choose another option--keep the faith. If you have other irons in the fire...pursue them in the meanwhile.
Beedog, you're awesome! Thank you! I've only applied to UC so far. Now that it's hanging in the air, I'm applying to a few others which are still accepting applications.
