I got my acceptance email today at University of Cincinnati and I am thrilled. I went into nursing to become a CRNA and now my dream is starting to become a reality. Now I need advice on funding this expensive venture. I know you can sign with groups and use loans, but I am wondering what are the best options.
I plan on applying to Cincy this year, I was wondering what the interview was like? what kind of stats you all have? Is the staff nice? I plan on touring before placing my application, but is the facility up to date? any other added info would be nice.
Thanks in advance, and congrats to all of you!!!
If you search on here, there are answers to your interview question. But for the most part, it is extremely laid back. The interview (at least for me) was with the program director and two CRNA's. They didn't ask clinical questions, just the normal stuff like why do you want to be a CRNA, etc.. After the interview, you take a test. The test ask some harder questions, some easier questions, just study reqular ICU things for the test. Also, I don't believe the test is really used for anything, only a last resort tie breaker between students if they can't make an admissions decision. As far as the hospital, it's a teaching facility, so they have resources. I can't say that everything is all beaufiful and shiny, but if that's what you are looking for...good luck. As far as stats, they take the best people based on many criteria, not only the best "numbers." I would make sure you get a GRE over 1000 and have a reasonably competitive GPA. Other than that, just be yourself and try not to get too nervous, because after the fact, it really wasn't bad at all. Good luck!

Beedog, thank you! You're awesome. I've only applied to UC so far. Now that it's hanging in the air, I'm applying to a few others which are still accepting applications.
