I got my NCLEX results today....

i took the nclex for the first time on monday and just found out that i passed!!!!! i had 128 questions and it took me about 2 hours. it was the hardest test i have ever taken and when the computer turned off i was sure i failed. i left feeling like i did't know a thing. good luck to everyone who is waiting to take there test, study hard you can do it. :roll

Congrats!! I took mine yesterday and feel miserable about it. It is good to know that others left the test feeling the same way. I sat in the parking lot and cried. I know I answered more than 75 but less than 100. I am not sure if I was in the 90s yet or not :-( Is that a bad sign? I left there feeling like a total dummy! I cannot believe how much I didn't know.

Oh well, I find out tomorrow.

i got 237 yesterday and feel miserable. i had a 45 minute drive home by myself and cried. i did real well in school and felt very prepared since i've been doing graduate work for 3 weeks.

the first 75 seemed easy to me and thought it would stop there. but it kept going and going and going and it took all i had to concentrate and not to break down. 5.5 hours staring at a screen to test for your future is torture. i hated to call my wife when i was done and tell her it took me that long.

the next 100/150 or so were the most difficult questions i have seen. not sure what that really means. i'm just really not confident i passed and i'm expecting the worse. i have never seen so many medications i've never heard or seen before. i wanted to cry i was so frustrated.

however, i do feel a bit more hope since coming here and reading. i just feel awful because my wife has sacrificed for 3 years to get me in school and we've both made plans for her to cut back to part time when i get my license. now i don't know.

128Qs? I thought you could get either 75 or 265...

The minum number of questions you will get on the NCLEX-RN is 75 questions and the maximum number is 265. You can answer any number of questions from 75 clear through 265. The computer will stop and tell you that you have completed the test when it determines within 95% accuracy of if you have passed or failed. The number of questions you answer DOES NOT determine if you passed or not.

Does that explain it better for you? Believe it or not I didn't realize that the NCLEX existed until I was in my second semester of nursing school. :selfbonk:
