I got into Nassau Community College!!!

Hi everyone. I have never posted here before but today I have some good (make that GREAT) news!!!

I got accepted to Nassau Community College's evening nursing program! They only accept about 35 people so I was VERY nervous!

Well, I just wanted to share my news! I look forward to being on this website a lot more often now. :)

NCC has no waiting list..rolling admissions...I suggest as soon as you have all the requirements..

ok thank you , it says somewhere in the website tobe qualify for admission you have to take anatomy # 1 before transfering. If you don't take it as a transfer student , you won't be qualify for admission is that right ??

You have to have AnP I, Math, Psy 101, Eng 101 in order to be considered for the program..if you dont have theses requirements then you cant apply..

It also depends on the number of credits you have..I had a 3.3 gpa when I was accepted however I had all the pre-reqs. I only needed to take the four nursing courses and I was accepted to the evening program which only has 35 seats.

Thanks so much for sharing that info. I'm applying for Fall '09 days -- and I can't sleep NOW -- and I haven't even applied. My NCC GPA is a 3.8 -- however classes transferred in from 1986 (I'm old:) bring it to a 3.69. I'm nervous, but keeping my fingers crossed. I'm also really disappointed that my GPA for admissions will be a 3.69, not a 3.8. Good luck to you!

Does anyone know when NCC will be accepting applications for the Fall 09 program? I know it will probably start March but anyone know exactly when?

Straight from the horses mouth -- the nursing dept at NCC told me last week that applications for Fall '09 are being accepted March 9 thru March 27th. I'll be applying as well. Good luck to you!
