I got the job!

I interviewed for a public health nurse position last week and I found out yesterday that I got it! I'm so excited! I start July 8th. I'll be working in maternal child health in a low income clinic

I know my current employer wasn't thrilled when she got my notice today, but this is better for my personal and professional goals.

No more nights, no more weekends, no more on-call! I might actually see my husband and we can start a family!

Now I'm trying to convince my husband that I need a small platinum wedding band because I don't want to wear my big wedding set to work. :D Wish me luck on this one. He already vetoed my Dooney & Burke wallet.

I'm really excited to start! I'm going to order new scrubs and stuff this weekend! I think i also need an infant stethoscope.

I gave up on platinum, but I think he's going to get my the same style in white gold.

The public health nurses in this office wear scrubs, but I don't know if that's the norm. If I decide I want to be business casual sometimes, I can do that too.

I'll definitely keep you guys posted! I'm excited and I have to share! haha
