Hello, I don't know if you all remember me, I have posted intermittently over the past two years. My son Ethan was a NICU baby, and never got to come home. I was just starting nursing school at the time, and decided I really wanted NICU. Anyway, I just got a job in a Level II and Level III, not the hospital I wanted (I wanted to be where my son was), but it's a start!

Congrats! Who knows, this may turn out to be the right hospital for you after all. I hope working in the NICU is everything you want it to be:)

First off let me say I am so sorry about your precious baby, how hard that must have been for you.
With your experience you are going to make a wonderful NICU nurse, your special gift will be being able to relate to what the parents are going through firsthand. My son was in the NICU, and I was already working in the NICU at that point, and that experience changed me as a nurse forever, I saw it from the "other side".
Good luck with your new job! :)
