I am finishing up my second from last semester of my ADN program. I start my first day as an LPN on Tuesday. I just applied to a couple of jobs hoping for the best. I got two offers on a Neuro floor. Then I interviewed this morning for ER thinking there's no way I could get it. NO WAY. The interview went OK. Then I get a call a couple hours later saying that I got the job! I accepted my offer for the job that I've been dreaming about since I was 8 years old! I will be a new grad RN in the ER of a level one trauma center! Hard work pays off! I have busted my butt so far and have been doing nursing school with 6 kids and working PRN the entire time. I can't believe it! I just wanted to share with people who know how exciting this journey is!
Any advice for things I will need before I start?! THANK YOU!

Congrats! Have you checked out the Emergency Nursing forum under specialties? I'll bet there's a few threads there you'll find helpful.
I am checking it out now, thank you!

Congratulations on your new position! Glad to hear your hard work and efforts paid off. You will have a steep learning curve, but I wouldn't worry too much about any specific learning prior to starting, you'll learn what you need to know as you get going. I don't have any advice other than to know you will have great days and tough days and at times the first year can seem overwhelming. But after all you went through to get there, I think you'll get through just fine. Good luck!
