They sent an envelope with a letter explaining what to do, a form to fill out and return whether you accept or not, a trifold paper about PSI screening (background check), your final scores, a physical form for your doctor to fill out, and of course the "congratulations" letter.
This was an answer for "Blessed", please forgive me I still have not figured out how to properly post things on here...I'm working on it!
Hello Everyone. I am new to this site and this is my first post. Congrats to all of you that have been accepted, I am very excited for you and for those that haven't heard yet I wish you the best! I am a pre-nursing student as well. I won't be applying to WCTC nursing program until next year but I am already stressed and nervous about the whole process...getting good grades and maintaining a good GPA, taking the NLN, going through the interview process, etc. Just wondering how the whole process works. GPA...where does it need to be? NLN...what's it like?Just science or other subjects too? What kind of questions does it ask?Is it like the SAT? Interview...stressful I'm sure! What's it like? What kind of questions do they ask? I know, that's like a hundred questions. Sorry :sstrs:. Hope to talk to you soon.
Hey Charlie2410, welcome to the site! You just need to do as good as you can on everything! Right now WCTC goes by your scores on the NLN (which you want to be in the 90 or above percentile), your GPA, and interview. The NLN is composed of a verbal, math, and science section. You have a one hour time limit on each section. I recommend buying a NLN study guide. The NLN counts for 50% of your overall score, GPA is 25%, and the interview is 25%. Getting into the program is definitely competitive so go after
it with all you got! There are people who get in with less than 4.0 GPA or less than 90 on the NLN, it just depends on the competition so you really want to work very hard and do as well as you possibly can. Hope this helps, stay in touch with this website you will really learn a lot, and I wish you the best of luck in this wonderful journey!
