call to your board. Many will advise you to take a review course such as hurst review. Some will have you do some clinicals to brush up or go to a college and enroll in a refresher course. But call your board. I never heard of someone having to repeat nursing school....but I know things continue to change. Also look at the 2011 format from the boards website in re:to the ncelx. I hope things work out keep us posted.
Here's the info for the BON:

I wish you well.
Hey, I graduated in 1994 as an RN. I failed my NCLEX-RN twice. never tried again, but still want to pass. Will I have to go back to school. I am from the state of Mississippi. What are the guidelines for this state. can anyone tell me.Thanks,
wiljsmi
I graduated a few years earlier than 1994 and am taking NCLEX RN for the 2nd time on June 11th. I registered with CA BON and my BSN program and clinicals met their requirements. Therefore, I wasn't required to take additional nursing courses. In addition, CA BON does not require a refresher course prior to taking NCLEX. However, after passing the NCLEX, I will definitely look into a refresher course.
I'm not sure how MS BON works. As others have suggested, best to contact them directly.
Good luck to you!
