I don't know if this happens to anybody else but I get really bored when studying, I am afraid bc I want to finish this Saunder's book but I am doing very slow due to boredom, not that I know anything but I need advise on how to make it more active or interesting. Please any ideas.:bowingpur:zzzzz

I'm a people person. I've been making imaginary people out of normal lab values, picturing them if a lab value is in a question.
Some should stay in pre-school (for example 3.5-5.0),
others stuck in primary school, (calcium)
a few young adults, still others middle aged.
The real old timers are the naughty old salts, sodium (135-145) and his bride, chloride (100-106).
Your mileage may vary but every lab value should act their "age." Figuring out what the pathology is and what the nursing response should be when they don't, alone or in combination, can get really complex.

yeah, at the beginning you are really :specs:into it and then it starts to get boring.:zzzzz
what i did to help me out on my:confused: weaknesses, i made flash cards.
i told one of my allnurses.com buddies to make flash cards on some of the diseases that she may be confused on or having trouble with.
another important thing is just when you start feeling that:sleep: boredom.....take a break! :trc:
it may sound corny but what i would do is i take my little egg timer and set it for an hour. during that time i would study. read my chapters or do my questions. when that timer went :redlight: off i take my 30 min break. after that i go back and just glance and re-read the chapter again.
they say, and i'm sure you know that you need to take breaks between studying. you really don't want to spend 3 hours or more on straight studying.
study for an hour............take a break..........go back to your materials and re-read it one more time.
for me it does work.
well, just a little hint.......who knows you may try it! but i figure i throw it out there!
:up:best of luck!!!!
