I feel like a idiot, I saw a pt on Thursday dx strep throat ordered amox did not notice child was allergic to PCN , came back in on Friday with a rash changed the abx to azithromycin, pt back today not any better parents upset because child is not better , I feel like a failure

You can take my opinion with a grain of salt b/c I have never had a job, but this is absurd. I don't think it is going to get better. This place sounds full of negative energy and it is going to plague you and bring you down as long as you stay. It doesn't matter how supportive mgmt is in meetings if the day to day culture is this dysfunctional. Please consider doing something nice for yourself and finding a better job. You deserve to be appreciated, respected and happy to be where you spend 40+ hours a week. Best wishes~

Well now one nurse has resigned,she does not like kids, so she is going to do school nursing yes that is correct, her prior exp before us was ltc. They hired her because of her pedi experience of one year . The md will be gone soon so let's see

Go where you're appreciated. I'm in a happy place where I'm a good fit. Have extended once and they are trying to get me to stay longer. It makes a difference whether they :redbeathe you are if they are little .
