Get the Prioritization Delegation and Assignment book by Lacharity. It is blue yellow and red. It is a thin paper back. It is great. Either edition will work. Study it good and you will pass!

...Join the club,But you are braver than I am.....I am to freaked out to even do the pop up thing......I did it for LPN and I either did it wrong or something....but I ended up passing.
Well, I took my NCLEX for the second time Yesterday 7/29 from 2pm-8pm....no not how long could I have... No NO...I had 2,00000000 questions and it was still going even when 8pm rolled around. I was still answering questions when they were packing up the bathroom keys!!!! (lol) I have no clue what to do!!! I guess I am gonna wait and see. Last time went way too quick and didn't read questions, had wicked migraine and took a break to take advil it was bad...this time I was much better prepared. NCSBN COURSE-- get it for as long as you can....do each section the pretest, the review the quizzes then the tests questions......it would have been nice if someone would have told me about it for the first test!!
I have 10 books (I did review, but spend a butt load of money from Lippincott to ATI to SAUNDERS and back), Hurst (I have the book and the audio) and I LOVE HER, she calms me and I love listening to her---I used RONA from YOUTUBE (good study material for review and she failed first time her videos are good)I printed them, but honestly the questions from the NCSBN were really good, the breakdown was same as NCLEX....don't know if I passed but....
I did UWORLD too....it was ok just so much to read......I felt like I needed more questions and less rationals! Its $60 and you can split it with friends.
I have a tendency to get the hard questions right and miss the basic stuff that a practicing nurse would know....so it kinda messes with the who adaptive testing concept....but honestly--I never failed and exam at school LPN or RN and I do not think I would kill any one. However, the NCLEX people seem to think we are going to be OB, PEDS or CARDIAC SURGEONS when we pass.....questions are just crazy.........
Trying to be positive but all I want to do is eat ice cream and sleep!!!!! Everyone just keeps telling me not to worry....Yeah OK....in Florida you can take it 3 times then you have to do MANDATORY REMEDIATION!!!! So I guess I would have another chance..but man would my pride be burned.....I was only one in my class not to pass.......an honestly I believe humility is good, but seriously!!!!
Hi!! Check out the NCSBN site and their review.....I liked it.....and best of luck.
I am waiting for my results...took it second time yesterday.
prayers for u..
thank you so much for your advice i will look in to it...
And don't give up! I didn't pass the first time either. Here are some tips... Think ABCs as priority. All answers may be right... but what is MORE important? What will keep your patient safe? What will keep them alive? What can you do now to fix the problem? If two answers are contrastt, likely one of them is the answer. Rarely will you ever call the doctor in NCLEX world. We were taught in NCLEX world you work at a perfect hospital in a perfect environment. don't think to yourself... well I cant start a Foley in this situation because the question doesn't say I don't have a Foley in the room... well guess what?!!! In NCLEX WORLD, you do! So think perfect nurse, perfect hospital. They don't want you to call the doctor because you are a NURSE. YOU should br making decisions. "Don't past the buck!" Know who you can delegate to and know what you cant delegate. Think airway is always MOST important. Breathing is MOST important. Keep them breathing, keep them safe
Hope this helps. don't do like I did, the first time I failed because I tried to go back and study EVERYTHING! DONT DO THAT IT WILL BURN YOU OUT AND PLUS TOPICS YOU CHOOSE TO STUDY WILL COINCIDENTALLY NOT BE ON NCLEX. So do practice questions and study your prioritzation skills like that book I mentioned is excellent. It helped me pass for sure! I wish you the BEST! Keep us updated!

ABCs all the way. My inner voice had a running dialogue going all through my test...something along the line of patient A will be fine, B needs me soon but C is in big trouble if I don't get to them right now...except on the disaster question I had then it was Patient A and D are pretty much dead already and C is walking so the answer is B...it helped a lot and it made the test less stressful even when they threw random questions at me toward the end (questions 72-75) that I had no clue what they were even asking...

This sounded just like my instructor for the ATI Live review. She had said that same exact thing you just said. I think that causes people to fail because many of us overthink questions. NCLEX is based on a perfect hospital with everything you need lol.
thank u ....for you available suggestions.:)
