I enrolled today

Published

hi guys i just want to let you know that i enrolled today under the package plan at ec. :yeah: i used the payment plan so i would pay like 130 a month for a year.

i already registered for chronicity, reproductive, lifespan 1, and lifespan 2. i can only register up to four exams at a time under

the "package plan".

i have a question for you guys, is it normal that my test eligibility would be on the 24th even though i registered today, the 22nd?

i was trying to schedule them already through pearsonvue so i can space them out like one exam a month but pearsonvue does not have the exams info yet.

also, i just took the practice test for chronicity without studying and i got a 60 on form a? is that good? do i really have to do some heavy studying with that grade? i will take form b after i study.

thanks for any info you can provide.

i'm in the same boat. i took form a and got a 60 and a 78 on form b. for some reason i thought i had to take both of them the same day within two hours. anyway...i've scheduled to take chronicity tomorrow. i'll come back to health safety. i'm so nervous.

good luck. let us know! i did really bad on "sensory impairments" and passed all sections. i'll study that part for a couple of days and take the form b. then if i feel ready, maybe i will reschedule chronicity for an earlier day.

Flight nurse or anyone,

I have two gen eds., micro and humanities to complete. If I sign up by 10/2 for the Special, do I have to complete the two gen eds within the year? Should I sign up, start the nursing courses, and worry about the two gen eds later after the CPNE?

you don't have to finish the other non-nursing courses within a year if you don't want to. the purpose of this "package option" is to finish everything within a year so you only pay the $1560 + cpne fees. if you are under this package option plan and go beyond 1 year, you would have to pay another annual fee or something. please check which option( whether the "package option" or "standard option") would save you more money. the ec website has the pricing comparison for both options so you should check that out before making any decision.

i have all the pre-reqs except lifespan (growth & development). i plan on taking the exam for this concurrently with the nursing exams so i can finish in less than a year. therefore, the "package option" is perfect for me.

do you think you can finish all the nursing exams (including cpne) and the rest of the pre-reqs in less than a year? if so, yes i would enroll now to get the "package option".

wow. they finished my official evaluation today! that was extra quick!

they told me to take info for literacy and lifespan. that's all. i'm glad they accepted all my credits.

i'm taking chronicity this friday. i'm very nervous yet confident that i will pass. i will be happy even with a c. any tips?

i got 60 on form a without studying then "skimmed" through sg101 notes for a couple of days then got 69 on form b. i passed all the sections except the "sensory impairments". i will study that section using my lpn book. i'll see if i can pass with this "much" studying.

i'll let you guys know. gosh i am so eager to finish this endeavor for my rn.

Just an FYI, Angel -- you can take the Human Growth and Development CLEP test in place of Lifespan, and it only costs around $80. Let me know if you need more info on CLEP tests.

thanks lunah. yes i will clep the human growth and development. please provide info on how i can sign up for it. do i need to get approval from ec first? i am thinking of taking this clep at the end though like while waiting for the cpne. do you recommend that? or i should take it now because there are always questions about lifespan on every exam? i did take human growth & development in lpn school but not college level.

i got a c on chronicity today. i'm happy but feeling guilty a little bit because i know i could have done better if i just "really studied."

thanks,

CLEP info is here:

http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html

Basically, you find a test site that is local to you and contact them to sign up. I took my exam at a local university, in their library -- they had a little room with a computer that is specifically for exams like CLEPs.

I also got permission from EC to use the Human Growth & Development CLEP in place of Lifespan -- just send them a message through the website messaging system. I like to get things in writing. ;)

I took a couple of CLEPs at the end, while waiting for my CPNE date -- Human Growth & Development, and Introductory Sociology. So that is definitely an option! I felt like the materials I studied covered the Lifespan information well enough that I didn't need to do it first to do well on the other exams.

thanks lunah. i may take this while waiting for the cpne.
