hi guys i just want to let you know that i enrolled today under the package plan at ec. i used the payment plan so i would pay like 130 a month for a year.
i already registered for chronicity, reproductive, lifespan 1, and lifespan 2. i can only register up to four exams at a time under
the "package plan".
i have a question for you guys, is it normal that my test eligibility would be on the 24th even though i registered today, the 22nd?
i was trying to schedule them already through pearsonvue so i can space them out like one exam a month but pearsonvue does not have the exams info yet.
also, i just took the practice test for chronicity without studying and i got a 60 on form a? is that good? do i really have to do some heavy studying with that grade? i will take form b after i study.
thanks for any info you can provide.

The answer to your question about testing without studying a lot is, of course you know, it depends. It is quite possible that with your knowledge base you could pass the test tomorrow. Then again, maybe not. I would schedule the first one, then study until that date. You will soon find out if two, three, or seven weeks is what you need. I would not be concerned with the disparity in the eligibility window. It always takes a day or three from the time you register for the test. No biggie. Good luck with the program.

thank you! i am just excited and eager to finish. i will study for a couple of weeks and take the chronicity and see.

hey there, when you register at excelsior it takes about 2 days to post at pearson. as far as the practice exams go, i have yet to get over a 75 on forms a or b but i pass the actual exams with a's or b's. welcome to excelsior and i hope you have an amazing time achieving your goals as i am. I will be taking nc6 and 7 by the 30th of this month and then CPNE eligible. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR EXAMS :)

Congrats and welcome to EC. I've been able to successfully pass my tests with only about 2 1/2-3 weeks preparation. Sounds like you have a firm background in your subjects so far! :)

Don't register for more than one at a time. You only have a certain window of time in which to take them and you don't want to be left losing the money should life get in the way.
And congratulations!

yeah i kinda realized that i don't have to register for four exams. i am in the "package option" so no fee for retaking any exams. i was just so excited that i registered for four exams because that is the maximum amount i can register at one time under the "package" plan. thanks for all the support. i will let you guys know how i do on the chronicity exam. i will schedule it in two weeks.
thanks,

does anyone know when they are getting rid of the package option?
i want to enroll before they do but i did not get the memo from the college about it.... there is no way i could afford to do it without the payment plan.
i was hoping to be able to take a few exams while i was out on maternity leave, since i have all the nursing courses to take except the one LPN's are exempt from!
congrats on furthering your education angel. maybe we can be study buddies!

the deadline for the package plan is october 2. if you have not applied yet, apply now online. then tomorrow, call admissions and tell them you want to waive the evaluation process for now and want to enroll right away because you want to be in the "package options" plan. after two days, you will be able to enroll. that's what i did. the "package plan" would save us plenty of money. sure, we can be study buddy. i scheduled my chronicity in two weeks.
i've already had the unofficial evaluation. i just have to call them because it won't let me enroll online--something about florida residents? i dunno.
thanks for letting me know what the deadline is! i will get on that today.

Florida only lets former LPN EC grads sit for boards -- the rest of us non-LPN-types have to endorse in with 2 years of experience. Give 'em a call, they'll hook you up!

i'm in the same boat. i took form a and got a 60 and a 78 on form b. for some reason i thought i had to take both of them the same day within two hours. anyway...i've scheduled to take chronicity tomorrow. i'll come back to health safety. i'm so nervous.
