Check out the international and phillipine forums, plenty of info plus some threads already on this subject.

Good luck

What does your heart and mind say? There are advantages of taking the local board and I couldn't see any disadvantage. Advantage like, what if in the future you will work here in our country. That happens to some people I know, decades ago, they do not want to take the local board because they have no plans of working here but still took the local board, decades after, they are here working, so they realized what they did was right. You are still young, with the retrogression, you have time to prepare for the local board and NCLEX. Now, this is just my opinion, it is better to take the local board because you don't know what your future brings.

I do not recommend the NLE; but since you have taken it and must report that you took it, it will be to your advantage to retake it. Especially for employers, etc.

If you were on the other side of the equation, would you want to give a license to someone from a foreign country that was unable to pass their local exam? Not to make you feel bad, but this is how things work.

It will give you a much clearer mind on things as well. Best of luck to you.
