I need help, please. Is there anybody here who can give us advice on how to put pressure on an agency. Here is the thing, we are complaining about an agency. We believe that this agency made a lot of misrepresentation and unfair labor practice so we sought help of the Philippine embassy. The consul refer us to a filipino and american US law office and decided to take our case. We presented and documented our case and they think that we have a strong case. Our lawyers send a demand letter asking the agency to answer our complains. The lawyers of the agency and our lawyers met and they agreed that they will come up with answers and offers. It has been 2 months already but until now there is no response from the agency. Our lawyers are always calling the agency's lawyers but they were honest enough to tell us that they are having also a hard time getting any response from the agency. For god's sake, even their lawyers are having a hard time, just imagine, what we are experiencing since we arrive here in the US.
For those of you who remember me, I have already shared my experience here, and it's not that wonderful. My lawyers insisted that the right thing to do is file a case. But we do not have enough money to file, it will cost us $220.00 dollars each complainant. But if push comes to shove, It's either I find a way or I'll make one, just to ensure that I have a day in court. I am losing hope in the US justice system. From the country where I came from, which is a third world country, if you have valid complains, all you have to do is file it with the National Labor Regulatory Commision and you don't need to pay an expensive lawyer and go to case.
So I'm here, asking for help, if anyone can can tell me what to do beside filing a case. Is there any US organization (nurses union) or entity that will help us facilitate and correct and eventually penalize this inhuman agency.
My wife is still working with them for lack of option because we still do what we think is the legal thing to do. But inspite of our complains, she is continuously receiving wrong salary, unpaid orientation, below standard compensation and benefits= and sub par living condition.
I dont want to think that US is not a fair and descent country.
Please, I appeal to those who can help to extend a helping hand and may god bless you in return.

May we know the agency you are referring to?

Please do not, especially if there is a potential lawsuit involved. Thank you.

And please, do not post the name of the agency here.
