I was defending myself since you wanted to blame someone. I said once again instead of him continuing to make post after post after post make one thread with questions. I just now saw how many new threads he made. And it was AFTER I made the original post. With my original post I only saw 4 threads that the OP made. And said oh wow he is asking a lot of questions maybe he should make one thread and ask questions instead of making more threads asking questions. And once again I didn't say to repost all his questions. Reread my ORIGINAL post. He did that on his own. So please if you want to cast blame make sure you have your facts straight.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one who would rather see one thread with new questions versus 30 threads from the same poster. And again we are here to help not to bicker. So I'm going to take my own advice and not say anything else to you. Think what you want but get the facts straight before you post about anything I do.
Get my facts straight? Blame? My goodness, I was trying to give the OP a fair shot on this thread after he basically spammed the forum. I think it's fair to give credit where credit is due, and your recommendation to collect questions in to one post can easily be interpreted as reposting questions in one thread. Only mods can merge threads, so OP can't really collect his questions together any other way. You are reacting very strongly to this; when I have similar reactions that's when I know it's time to step away from the computer for a bit.
I would recommend that the OP visit the schools that are closest to him/her. There are over 1200 accredited nursing programs in the US (plus dozens more that are not accredited). No two programs would have the same experiences (any many have different admissions requirements, clinical opportunities, graduation rates, and student satisfaction). Starting salaries will also vary greatly depending on where you work and in which type of setting.
Here in my own state of Virginia, the salary for new RN grads ranges from $14.50 to $29.75 per hour depending on where in the state you are working. Of course the cost of living in the city with the $14/hr rate is lower (a townhouse costs under $80,000) and in the other area a 1 BR basement apartment would be $1500/month.
Since you are young I would recomend you take a CNA course and get a job as one. Being in that environment would give you a better perspective on if you want to enter the medical field.
OP: I suggest, like the others, you investigate the nursing programs in your area. When you find a few that appeal to you, contact them and attend their Nursing Program Information Sessions. Many of the questions you ask were answered for me when I attended the Info Session at my school.
