I failed NCLEX RN twice. Was wondering if Hurst would help. For those who used it, please let me know thanks.

Hello!

My answer (especially) to you is short: YES!

I'm a big fan of HURST, hurst simpily saved me, and I can tell you why!

You see, I took the Hurst, ati and the Kaplan, and heres my input:

If you feel that you need to REVIEW your content, then HURST is defiantly for you.

Hurst breaks down hard nursing science into a simple & short review. it does NOT repeat what you learned back in school in dull & boring presentations.

Oh, and some may find the southern accent slightly irritating, i find it amusing :p

the downside of hurst you may say it that they dont have very extensive Qbank, only few hundreds,

(I wrote about hurst, and compared it to the rest, in my blog. you might find some helpful insights.)

P.S if you really think you need to practice questions, I'll say you can follow Uworld.

It's pretty much like Kaplan's Qbank(maybe even better) but u pay as you need, instead of (expensive) Kaplan review

I utilized the Hurst online review the christmas before I graduated. I used no other program and did not practice hundreds of questions. My exam was delayed 6 months after graduation. My grades were average. I passed with 75 questions. I highly recommend this review. When they say the exam is about making sure you are a safe nurse they are right. You have to know enough facts, but must also understand the larger picture.

I haven't taken the NCLEX yet but I took Hurst and loved it. They always explain why you do things which is something I felt was lacking in my nursing program. I take NCLEX later this summer. Once I take it I will post again to share if it was helpful.

Thanks!

We had to do the Hurst review with our class. The fee came out of our tuition and I did not pass the NCLEX the first time. Hurst has a 100% guarantee if you do not pass then you can get refunded. They would not give me a refund because we paid through the school. I still paid for that out of my own pocket. It did not help me at all. I know that it does help people with passing but, I am sure I am not the only one that it did nothing for me.

Hi everyone. I'm here to let you know that the Hurst Review program really works!!! I kidd you not. I graduated nursing school in 2001. I've taken the NCLEX exam 4 times and each time I've failed. The last time I attempted the NCLEX was in 2006. I did a lot of research on the internet for a program that I thought would work for me. So I came across the Hurst review program, I was so worried that maybe I waited to long after graduating 16 years ago that I had forgotten everything that I learned, so I called Hurst. They reassured me that this program would work for me. So I went for it. And it was the decision I've ever made. I PASSED!!! I didn't think it was possible, but I did it. And if I can do it, you can do. THANK YOU HURST REVIEW!!!

I just wanna ask about what im gonna purschase because they had additional option. 325$ for the course plan. Then they had 30$ for nurse handbook and 79$ for the elevate course. Just wanna know if the add ons are important or not? Please do rep asap. Thanks

I've been reading a lot of the forums recently and seem to see a trend where students that used Hurst are not passing. Maybe the issue was the extent of study/questions/remediation that was done and not so much the program. But as of now, Hurst is looking unreliable.

Even though I have failed, I still found that Hurst was fantastic for content. It broke things down really well.

Hurst review lectures are painful to watch. Waste of time/money!!!! Free videos on youtube are far better (i.e. RegisteredNurseRN.com). Also, UWorld has better practice questions and they're cheaper.
