Hunter College New Generic Pathway 2013-2014

Published

Hi there! I set this up so that people who are currently at Hunter, who intend to apply for the New Generic Program for Nursing in Fall 2014 can share, discuss, and review anything related to the nursing program.

where to apply :

information in regards to the Hunter Nursing Program :

NLN test :

Also, any students who are currently in Hunter's Nursing Program (any) , or in a nursing program in general are welcome to share any useful information they have. (NLN scores, tips, advice, GPA?)

Thanks guys =) Fazeena, do you know anything about how they check if we completed pre-requisites? I won't be home because of work on Saturday and Sunday so if they call I'm screwed =/

Also, DoGoodThenGo, you're absolutely right we're playing a game of numbers. I only saw one person get in with a 4.0GPA and that was someone for the old generic program =/

I'm pretty sure that they have their own way of checking to see if you completed the prereq's. Never have they ever called me. All I got was an email! It's definitely a game of numbers haha

You're welcome! If you all need anything please email me! I'd be happy to help, I probably will reply a LOT faster there. My personal email is: [email protected]. I can't wait to meet you all in Fall 2014. And I have my fingers crossed that they took our complaints about our first year into consideration and will make your first year a billion times better than mine! It's tough, but every program has their ups and downs! It's a love-hate relationship with this program. But you guys will be finding out REALLY SOON! Good luck!

probably this weekend! hopefully.... good luck everyone! fingers crossed..

I think it's this weekend too! Keep in mind that your orientation is probably going to be 2 days, since there's a lot of important things that Professor Saladino needs to tell you guys. Make sure you take a lot of notes. If you guys can, sign up for those summer bio classes ASAP! Get them out of the way. They will definitely save your life the first year.

Also, if any of you want to add me on Facebook just search me up! "Ashley Fazeena Narain"

Thanks, Fazeena! Are you sure they send out information on weekends?

Well I remember I got my acceptance around May 4-6th; not quite sure. I was just going with the dates, I don't really know if they send info out at any particular time. Sorry!

Here is hoping that tomorrow is the day... this is honestly way too late not only compared to other nursing programs but also because finals are here and people need time to recover from any rejections =/

I agree, it has to be soon. Next week seems like your best bet; I take it that you all have to register around the 13th?

Results are out guys! I made it with a 3.77 GPA and 143 NLN. Just finished screaming my lungs out :)
