Did anybody apply to HSU for the spring 2010 nursing class? I just applied to the university today since they are only accepting pre-nursing majors for the school as transfers and 2nd bacs. Now, I'm going to apply to the nursing school. Wish me luck for the spring 2010!
Not me!!! hahah Blue, we both knew that we weren't going to get in, and yet we still applied. Now that's funny! hahahaha Oh well, let's celebrate the fact that we both got into the nursing schools that we wanted to be in the first place! Yay!! Good luck with SMC, and don't forget to treat yourself with that cruise at the end too :yeah:
:yeah:
!!! I look forward in contacting you again, thanks for everything Blue.
I didn't get in either. But I got into a small, public university in Texas, and I am gonna take it. The CSU is so lame. I have a 3.5 GPA. I worked really hard for that. I get it, others have better grades and more talents like foreign language proficiency. But how sad that a California resident who has paid her dues (if I must say so, myself...with all the hours of volunteering at clinics, hospitals, libraries) but cannot recieve services from the public schools in her own state. It is unacceptable that the only CSU taking transfers into the nursing program this spring was HSU, and it was only 30 students, I think. They need to expand the nursing programs at CSU's and the UC's need to build several undergraduate nursing programs. That way the 4.0 GPA students can compete for the UC spots and the 3.5 GPA students can have the CSU spots. With the way things are now, private schools can continue to rip people off. University of San Francisco has tuition of $17,000 per semester, not including housing. And other less prestigious schools charge comparable amounts. WHATEVER! You would have to pay 17 grand, minus whatever PELL money you can get, and the rest including housing would have to come from loans. I don't believe that the STAFFORD money will cover that. So the student would potentially need to take out private loans. What a sad predicament. Who can afford to wait around for another year, and another...

CSU Bakersfield also took spring. I'm starting their spring 2010 program , only 35 of us!!!
true for everything else... CA is very expensive. And yes, Texas education is great! I lived in Houston, Texas for the past 13 years.

So...who got in?! Not me, as expected lol. My e-mail says I'm #6 on the alternate list whatever that means.
Anyway congrats to all those who got accepted :)
