taking entrance exam at humber college, looking for help in preparing for chemistry and bio section, what should I study?, the testing centre keeps telling me it's basic chem and bio, I never took chem and bio and have no idea what they mean by basic, PLEASE help me

Humber refers to the test as the HOAE lol

Even the book they recommend was for HOAE, even if it's not the same thing, the general information I gave to you about the science is helpful.

For real??? lol Then I guess I will now refer to it as HOAE too! Yes you helped a great deal thank you. I've also read every other thread possible on this topic and they all seem to say the same thing. Wish you the best of luck and if we make it in let's high 5 each other on the first day of class SEPT/2015!!!!!

I wasn't persecuting you at all, I was trying to share information that you either are not understanding or I am explaining poorly.

You stated you were having difficulty getting information about the test. I'm not saying YOU have done anything wrong at all, that's not what I said and I'm actually quite confused right now about the whole thing being taken that way... I was saying that some people might not share information, yes including basic information or guidelines, because it has been engrained in their minds not to and as a result are unaware of what they can and cannot actually share. My post wasn't about YOU in any way whatsoever, it was about OTHER people and their perceptions of what they can and cannot share.

It was a very misguided thread, and I will say that I did feel that I was being poorly demonstrated as someone who would plagiarize or ruin the integrity of the exam. Many people, like me, have come here paralyzed with fear - just looking for a little bit of guidance and support. Either way I'll have to write the exam in a week - and hopefully then I may be able to provide someone else with some guidance :D

I apologize if it was taken that way, again it was not what I was saying.

As somebody who has completed a pre-health program, a practical nursing program, and is now in the midst of an RPN-BScN program, I have received my fair share of guidance, and I would never accuse anyone of plagiarizing or academic dishonesty for doing the same...

Anyways, all the best with the HOAE and admissions process.

I apologize if I came across extremely defensive. I'm really proud of your accomplishments. I too hope it all works out for me in the end. Just have to get passed the nerves :writing:

hi

i wanted to know if they provide the periodic table at the time of testing?
