I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?
Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

No reason to be worried, you still have plenty of time. I am assuming tuition is due mid-October and you will hear back by the 30th of this month nonetheless, and hopefully fianced by mid or late October but I think your school will understand as long as you have been selected and that they will get that money anyway. I am not sure about the counter signature fact, that is what people were saying - someone said 99% of the people that got it signed back were selected.
Gotcha…I’m losing sleep over this LOL. I’m gonna leave this in Gods hands! Thanks again .

What kind of GPA and background do you have if you don't mind me asking?? I am still under review and I am praying that I get it. I'm now a semester into my program for my BSN and cannot continue working much longer because of it being an express program... I'm so nervous!
I have 2 years experience in a MICU. I have a previous degree that has a low GPA, but combined with my nursing courses I have about a 3.4 GPA. I do have volunteer experience with the Red Cross and work in a rural area currently.
I really hope you get the scholarship! There are still 10 days until the 30th so I wouldn’t give up hope yet!
Hello!
I got the email last night too! Congrats everyone! And for those that are still waiting you have 10 more days! I had one question. I saw a screenshot on here about the disbursement process and I read the ORC and the Stipends will be given to our school’s is that correct? Or are they giving us those directly into direct deposit ? Thanks in advance! I’m asking bc my financial institution has a maximum loan amount they can take so I don’t want them to send it back if they can’t take more than the tuition fees
Not loan amount but maximum amount for the student account that they can receive every year and it’s based off of loans scholarships paying out of pocket etc
I had another question. I took out a loan (4k) to cover part of my semester. However HRSA is saying we need to return it or they won’t pay full amount But they are also saying that for the Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 they will pay it but thereafter we shouldn’t take loans unless it’s to cover tuition based off the fact that they deduct fica taxes. My question: So should I return my 4k loan since it’s Fall 2021 and they stated for Summer and fall they would pay the complete tuition but moving forward they wouldn’t?! Thanks!

I would suggest calling HRSA for clarification.
