Does anyone know when the 2014 application will be posted (and when it's due)?
People who have been accepted to this scholarship, do you have any tips? What does the application entail?
THANKS!
I have started my application and am working on my essays. Is the volunteer work for undeserved communities required as medical volunteer work or can it just be non-medical? For about 8 years I volunteered with my church group to help low income and hurricane victims roof their roofs, paint, deliver food, etc. I have an EFC of 0.
I am really nervous! If I could get this scholarship it would REALLY help me out (I am attending a private university and it costs and arm and a leg)
You must be enrolled in school to be an MD, DMD, NP, Midwife, or PA for the National health service Corps. The NURSES corps and National health service Corps is for nursing only, and no bridge programs. Since you are going to be an NP it seems as if you would be eligible for both. The commitment is still providing care in an undeserved community for as many years as you get the scholarship (generally 2 or 4).
This is my understanding (I have not won a scholarship form them or applied before.)
No problem! Good luck :)
I have an EFC of 0 with a 4.0 gpa but I have no medical volunteer experience... I do have 8 years of volunteer experience, but that was years ago. I am hoping that will be enough.
Thanks your giving me hope. Just waiting for my recommendations to hurry up then I will submit my application.
Good luck to you too. I don't see why that wouldn't be enough. It's experience just depends on how you incorporated it into the essay.

Oh okay, I am kind of confused it says if we upload them in several pages it will overwrite the rest of the pages and it will automatically disqualify you.
