Same here. I applied last year and had my credit checked twice, application stayed under review and then got the rejection email on 9/28.

They only checked my credit once last year on May 30th and then it changed to under review middle of august and got an email from HRSA 8/16 that I was being considered and was denied 9/27... I'm hoping that since they checked earlier this year that it's a good sign

Did you apply for the LRP or scholarship?

The credit check is just to make sure you don't have student or other federal loans you've defaulted on or anything, they don't care about your actual credit score.
