HRSA nurse corps repayment 2019

I just wanted to start a thread for the 2019 cycle. I received an email today that applications are due end of March. I am a first time applicant.

Does anyone know why they run a credit check?

I've read that it is to find out if you've defaulted on a loan or court-ordered payments.

i believe it is also to check your debt-to-income ratio

I believe it's to check previous loans. I'm a first time applicant and already worries I won't get it.

In looking at past threads it doesn't look like tier 2 applicants were even touched. Best of luck everyone!

I'm a second time applicant. Last year, I applied in February, my credit was checked around April, and I received notification that I was not accepted in September. Best of luck to everyone applying this year!

Hey guys!

Im just going through and responding to all the threads about the 2019 cycle.

RN, DTI 167%, Site Score 19, and Public Hospital employee so only 15% of the funds are for me. Hoping that I make the cut!

RN: DTI 70%, Site Score: 14, I work in mental health for a federal hospital. Im praying I make the cut! I just graduated with my FNP, I actually know many NPs that got the HRSA with no problem. I don't know any RNs that have actually received the funding unfortunately.

Hello all!

First time applicant here and just received a credco credit check today. I believe this is who checked in passed years? FNP DTI 130% Site score 16, tier 1 FQHC. Has anyone else received the credit check or know if this is good news?

Hey guys!

This is my 3rd year applying. I received a credit check 5/29 as well as the past two years. I have made it to September each year however all the funds are usually allocated before my application and no reward has been refunded. Third times the charm right ?! ? good luck to everyone ?
