Hi, here are the questions

Essay 1: How will you contribute to the mission of the Nurse Corps SP in providing care to underserved communities, and how does this align with your commitment to pursue a career in nursing?

Essay 2: What personal experiences have prepared you to work with underserved populations, such as participation in a federal pipeline program (see Definitions), community service, internships, or experience in rural, frontier, or tribal populations? If you have successfully completed participation in any federal pipeline program, please highlight your experiences in the essay responses and consider having a reference from one of the pipeline programs write one of your required letters of recommendation

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if this has been asked already, but am I supposed to wait until my letters of recommendation says "received" or something before submitting my application?? Because I am done and ready to submit otherwise.

On the "Application & Program Guidance" pdf it mentions the applicant having to send a link to the online recommender portal. Can someone tell me where to find that link please? I don't see it on the letter of recommendation tab on the actual application.

Does anyone know how many scholarships they give out? Like what are my odds here?

I found a lot of mixed information from the prior year's forum. I did find the HRSA report to congress, which specifies the number of applicants and scholarships awarded. The most recent report available is from 2020. I attached a screen shot below, it can also be found on page 9 of the report. Based on this data 12.5% of new applicants were awarded a scholarship.

The link to the entire report is here: https://bhw.HRSA.gov/sites/default/files/bureau-health-workforce/about-us/reports-to-congress/nurse-corps-report-congress-fy20.pdf

* This report includes data for both the Loan Repayment Program and the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program.

Once you submit their names and email addresses in that part of the application, HRSA will send them a link to their email.

Hi all - I am a little confused about this scholarship. I am currently completing the application for my accelerated nursing program. It started in January 2022 and runs through March of 2023. If I get accepted fort the scholarship, does it back pay? I was originally under the impression that it does, but reading the comments here, now I'm not so sure. Would I only get paid for July 2022 to March 2023 (when I graduate?) - or would they back pay for the months of January - June 2022? Thank you!  Additionally, if they only pay for July 2022 to March 2023, is accepting the scholarship for 8.5 months of pay worth the 2 year commitment?
