Hey everyone, I just got accepted into the nursing program for Spring of 2022 and wanted to know if anybody else in here what's going to apply for the Nurse Corp scholarship when they open back up next year or if anybody has applied how did it go for you!???
I just found out about this scholarship! I am so excited to apply. My RN program begins in August 2022. I am a bit confused and have a few questions before I crack open the application.
1. Do I contact the people for the recommendation letters beforehand? Any advice?
2. Can I start the application although I do not know who I am going to ask to do my recommendation letters yet and do not have a few other things such as my transcripts, SAR, etc?
3. Once in the application and I provide the email addresses and names of the recommendation letters, does the application/system automatically send them a link?
Thank you in advance!

Hey! I already submitted my application and happy to help.
1. I would always recommend contacting your recommenders first so you know they are in agreement to write the letter for you and have an opportunity to discuss your desires to become an RN. This helps them write their letter as well.
2. Yes, you can start the application and add your supporting documents as you go along. You can select each tab and bounce around to edit or complete information.
3. Yes, HRSA will send a link directly to their email addresses. Be sure to advise them to check their spam folder.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi guys,
I am trying to apply for this scholarships and I am having a very hard time trying to figure out how to apply for it. I know the website, well at least I think the website is, www.bhwnextgen.HRSA.gov but when I login to apply, nothing. I can't find the right place to go. Someone please help. Thanks in advance.
?? It could be because I am using my phone.

Hi there! I am also in the process of applying. However, I think you may have the incorrect link. Try this one:
https://bhw.HRSA.gov/funding/apply-scholarship/nurse-corps
I just submitted my application finally LOL... One thing I will say that sounds silly but that I was confused about was that it wanted you to put the application ID on top of every page I contacted them and they told me the only thing that needed the application ID# at the top was your proof of citizenship such as your birth certificate or whatever else you use... I'm glad I don't have to go through every piece of paper and write the number and then rescan everything it's already difficult because you have to scan every piece of paper and upload it to your computer to make sure that it's a PDF file LOL... I wish everybody luck let's keep each other updated I really hope I get this scholarship how many of y'all are in private schools that are applying???? My tuition is 14k a semester ????
@Dubbednurse sameee and I also have an apartment that I'm trying to keep I'm quitting my job next month to start the program full time in May ?? I'm so overwhelmed have you started any part of the application yet?? at first I didn't know where to start but once you get going it goes by pretty smooth.. I got my essays out of the way first..
Help! I reached out to my 2 recommendation letter people and they haven't responded to me and it's been two days! One is my old Manager for my current job (I work for a health insurance company for the underinsured) and the other is my Microbiology instructor from Spring 2021. My last class was Summer of 2021, so I have not had any interactions with faculty since! For the last 2 years, all my classes were online and only a handful had zoom meetings - everything else was self-taught pretty much, which is why I reached out to my MicoBi instructor because it was the last class I had consistent zoom "face-to face" meetings in. I think this will be the downfall of me being able to submit my application. Any suggestions??
@VintageBella08 honestly it's been a while since I've had interaction with my instructors as well a few years and so both of my recommendations come from my work profession one being a pediatrician and the other one is a pharmacist I didn't really have a choice... Did you email the people ahead of time to let them know that you were sending them an email or have they just not responded at all??
