The clinical placements are clutter. Everyone who went to nursing school completed clinical hours.

I would also take out the housekeeping and travel industry things. They can be included on an application requesting detailed work history, but they don't belong on a resume geared at obtaining a nursing job.

Specializes in Pedi.

My 2 cents: there is a lot of unnecessary fluff in here and this can be significantly shortened.

"Enjoys working in a team environment" is not a skill. Get rid of that. I'd also move that skills section to the bottom or take it out all together. Most bedside nursing positions don't care about your skills with MS Office or Adobe.

Once you've worked as a professional nurse, your clinical placements do not belong on your resume. Get rid of all of them.

I also think the descriptions of your work need not state things that every nurse can do. It drives me crazy when I see things like "medication administration" or "vital signs" listed on nursing resumes. You're a nurse, it's implied that you do those things.

I like your straight foward advice. Could you give my resume a look as well?
