I took my exam yesterday.. I answered 265 questions and 2 hours after my exam
tried the PVC trick and got the bad pop up. did it 3 times and still the same.
I'm depressed and all. but i know ill get over it soon.. the question is when?
i read saunders and lippincot reviewers. Also did the 3 week ncbsn review which
i think was too lengthy for me. didn't help at all.. I crammed 1 week before my exam
because i read in this site that there's lot of sata which i wasn't aware of.
any advice? and can you recommend the best reviewers? I had a lot of control
precautions and drugs questions which i havent encountered. i guess that was
the reason i failed. pls help..

I saw you in a different post and followed the trail back here...
I did the NCSBN too but not the 3 week course. There was no way I was going to cover that much material in 3 weeks, instead I signed up for the 15-week course. It allowed me to take my time, write notes, answer the questions and read all the rationals. Doing this daily conditioned my mind to successfully answer the questions. I personally wouldn't recommend anyone cram a week prior to the NCLEX. Obviously, that method didn't pay off for you.
I too had a lot of infection control and priority questions and I particularly focused on that area while studying. This was through the advice of my friend who had taken the exam before I did.
You can do it. Take a few days to feel down and then get back to studying. Tell yourself you will be a nurse - just correct your mistakes when you start studying.

I'm so sorry. I think your problem was you didn't take much time to finished your test. when you are in hurry you make lots of mistakes .

Glad2bRN - thanks for the encouragement. Ill make sure next time ill be prepared. Wasted my time studying without understanding the concepts. What are your other resources aside from ncbsn? Im thinking of enrolling to hurst review.

hey, girl, get back up again. You can do it. Nurses are passing every day. Read at least two chapter from saunders, and do a lots of a questions, and do not forget about the rationales. Good luck!!!!
I also had the Kaplan NCLEX-RN review. I did the questions and it teaches you how to answer. I never had hurst, but students on here found it helpful, so check them out too.
Yeah it's important to read and understand the rationales behind the questions. It'll help you in the end. It sounds like you were completely unprepared when studying. This time you know what you need to do differently to pass. Hang in there; give yourself a few days and then start a strict study schedule to go through questions.
Thank you!! ill surely be pulling myself up little by little each day so i can get over the grieving process and start to be motivated again to study. God bless you nurses. :)
