Hi guys! So I'm a student at Penn State taking both Anatomy and Physiology at the same time. It seems like I'll be needing to do a lot of studying. Does anyone have any tips on how to do well in either? I want to get a good grade and I'm usually someone who truly has to earn my grade rather than it coming naturally.
Thank you :)

I know in my school, they had the blank anatomy structures available online. What I did that worked wonders is printed color copies of the structures, bought those little plastic page insert things, and a wet-erase marker (the kind used for old-fashioned overhead projectors) and I would fill in each anatomy part and what it did/what it articulated with. I would check to see if I was right and repeat until I knew it down cold! Hope this helps!

This is going to sound so simple, but I think it's really the only way to do well. Study, memorize, and review often. Do not put it off until the last minute because it truly is a lot of information. For physiology my professor drew charts of mechanisms and told us to study diagrams. Go over the diagrams and try to talk your way through it instead of reading your way through it. If you have truly memorized it then you can talk your way through the diagram.
Oh and also quizzes online helped me. While I was on the bus, waiting for food, in the restroom or had downtime I would do the quizzes online like on quizlet.

I am the type of learner that information doesn't come naturally to me either. To do well in Anatomy, you should utilize flash cards. Either create your own or print them out. Use them on a daily basis and whenever you have free time. The more exposure you have to the words, the better off you'll be. Get diagrams of body systems/parts and label each part of the organ or system. As for Physiology, there's a lot of mechanisms that you will need to know for the body systems. Some are more complicated than others, so I recommend writing a short story out of the mechanisms, it'd make remembering the steps easier. Good luck!

Watching online animations and taking practice quizzes has been the most helpful for me so far right along with flashcards if the topic seems right. It really just comes right down to putting in the work and studying for hours and hours each day though.

Study groups! My school's student association has special groups just for A&P.
If you're a visual learner, I'd also suggest labeling/coloring blank diagrams or drawing your own.
