I have unfortunately failed my first time at the nclex with taking the Kaplan course and making it to 226 on the exam. I received my results saying I did not fail any topic, but I nearly passed all of them. This does not narrow any information for me to study. Any help on how to study, what to study, etc. would be greatly appreciated as I am very hard on myself for not passing. Any suggestions on how to get on the right track from here.
I, like you failed the test, but with 265 questions and has "nearly passed" on all the categories. A tip my friend gave me in studying my material is know the reason why a person is experiencing a disease or symptom. Like why is a person experiencing symptoms of SIADH, or Diabetes. If you are able to explain to someone what you are studying, you will retain the material more and know it, instead of just memorizing and cramming facts.
Also, set up a study schedule in which you don't study more than 3 hours a day, then set up your NCLEX date when you think u feel comfortable with the material you are studying.
This is what I am doing now and also reading and doing the LaCharity book as well. It is really quite good.
This is the only reason I passed NCLEX. I highly recommend it. I like to see pictures and it breaks it down into nice steps. GREAT BOOK. Easy reading, interesting material, good visual aids. Worth every bit!!!!

Can you please tell me if you can stop the CD of Davis 2010 by Kathleen Ohman and came back to where you have been stopped , or you have to do all over again. Thank you
