How to pass your lvn program

Published

Hi all, I'm a lvn from lonestaround college montgomery Texas .

I graduated 6 years ago and I'm doing a bit of research and hoping for some honest feedback from some awesome soon to be nurses out there! I know from personal experience that nursing school, both the ADN and LVN programs are monsters. I survived the first year of my ADN program but was working full time and just did not know how to manage my time, projects or study correctly .I did however return and complete my LVN program but it took a whole new mindset and learning how to study better not harder is what got me through it. So, with that said, I'm wondering if there are any lvn students in their first semesters of their program that are struggling and what are you struggling with? What do you think would have helped you prepare better before you actually started your program? Wold love your feedback . One thing I can pass along that really changed things for me was not fighting the course load if that makes sense, i stopped wastingbenergy and time and I just had to give myself up to it and said this is what I have to do so I'm doing it. I also bought a white board and made mynown monthly calander. I wrote out all of my projects, exams and quizzes so I could see them all at one time and mark them off as I went. This little think actually helped me feel more confident going into the next month, week exam or quiz.

If anyone wounder like to send me their feedback directly instead please feel free to email me at [email protected]. And remember, you were chosen, you got in so you can do this! -Rachel
