Hello all, I am a pre-nursing student and I am wondering what are some of the ways that you guys spend your summers?
What are some things that you would recommend such as working, taking a class or just taking it easy?
what is a summer vacation. I am working two jobs right now. One as a student nurse intern in an emergency room (LOVE IT!) I am learning sooo much. and the other job I am doing home care for a gentleman. I work between 65-75 hours a week while banking most of it so I ccan cut my hours back down this fall and I won't use as much in student loans as last semester.

I recommend taking classes and working in a nursing environment. I am spending this summer taking a class toward my BSN (I am finished with all but nursing classes for my ADN) and working at the hospital.
I am going into 2nd Semester and I wanted to have a summer filled with review (the course I am taking is very much review of past bio courses, critical thinking, and an introduction to Med-Surg material) as well as become familiar with the hospital environment (clinicals is an awful place to learn not to make simple errors or to gain comfort with skills or the hospital!) Oh, and I am relaxing in between my studies. However learning is relaxing for me since I am keeping things fresh in my mind and I am not stressing about later, but that may just be me. GL.
