How was Nurses Week celebrated at your Facility

I know these are difficult financial times. To acknowledge Nurses Week at our facility, someone taped a sheet of paper outside a door leading to our unit that said "HAPPY NURSES WEEK".

That was all. Not that we needed to have a luxurious luncheon or flowers or candy. This was a computer generated sheet with the words. I guess at least it wasn't handwritten in magic marker and the words were spelled correctly.:loveya:

Update...Our ADON came to our unit this morning with an armful of bags. We work in a correctional facility and to bring anything into the facility it has to be in a clear bag no bigger than 12"x 12". Well, these bags emblazoned with the company logo are over the size limit. They are clear plastic as required, though. She had us sign a paper to verify that we received it. I forget, when was Nurses Week anyway??? Oh yeah, we also found out that for Christmas the gift was a whistle. Not even on a string. We missed out again.:crying2:
