Hi, I was just wondering how many people were under the age of 25. I guess it would be nice to know that others my age are going through this. Just write in and tell everyone a little about yourself like when you graduate, start, family, etc.

Okay, I will start. My name is Teresa and I am in an associates degree program. I graduate next May and I am very interested in L&d or postpardum. I am 19 years old (20 when I graduate) and I am getting married in December. Okay, good luck to everybody!!

Hi everyone. My name is Kristy and i am unfamiliar with this sort of thing so bare with me.

I am currently in my second year - bachelor of nursing, at La Trobe uni in Bendigo - Victoria. I am 21 and still living at home with the olds, and my boyfriend.

The reason i came to this site?? I am looking for some information for a law and ethics assignment i have to do. I have chosen a topic along the lines of medications, the process of administering them.

Anyone think they could help me with some useful information or websites to visit??? It would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Casey, 21. I am interested in geriatrics after I graduate, which is not until next December (2003) Good luck to all!

well I'm 24, married with children and am finally getting to start my dream of being a nurse, hopefully in L&D, actually I want to be a nurse practitioner. I actually start my nursing courses in August. Good Luck to everyone!

Hey guys. I'm at the top end of the specified age range here - 25, will be 26 in October. I was just accepted to an ADN program, and will finish all my prereqs this summer and begin classes with labs and clinicals in the fall. :)

I am two semesters short of a BS in forensic science. I may end up finishing that degree later, am not really sure yet. I have no children, just a spoiled brat of a cat. :) I am also engaged and plan on being married after graduation in May of 2004.

Wow, that was just a mish-mash of random stuff about me. Let's see, what else...?

A friend of mine graduated from a BSN program last year. We worked as pharmacy technicians together, and I helped her study for the NCLEX. During our study sessions, she pointed out that I seemed to have a knack for the material, and I've been pondering the possibility since.

Health care is a field that has always interested me, and it seems like a much better way to help than by analyzing blood samples and carpet fibers. (Which, no matter what The Learning Channel says, is NOT glamorous. LOL) A couple of months ago, I decided to go for it.

And I have rambled long enough. LOL

Donna :)

I am new here as well. I am 21, recently married and applying to an ADN program at a community college in Northern Virginia. I have a great husband who is a marine and he's behind me 100% in my desire to become a nurse.

I plan to move to NC and go into an ICU when I graduate and then continue for my BSN.

Nice to meet everyone.

25 years young :)

Specializes in MS, LTC, Post Op.

I am 24, I will be 25 in October. I will hopefully be graduating in July. I have a 2 year old son and my 28 year old husband. I am in the LPB program here in Ohio and I am one of the younger ppl in my class...most are 35 and up.

Hi, I'm 22, will be 25 when I qualify as an RGN. I live with my partner, and have a 4 year old child.

Is there anyone else from the UK on this site???

Nicola

Hey everybody! I'm kinda new to this and I think this board is great! There seems to be such a lack of unity in the nursing profession and I think that this board provides an arena for nurses of all ages and stages in their profession to pass on a little hard earned knowledge! (I pray that I'll have some one day!:)

Anyway, I'm 20 years old. I just finished my first semester of a BSN program and I've totally found my niche! I love nursing! Several of my aunts are nurses and they keep telling me that It'll hit me in the face one day and I won't be able to stand it. But, I don't believe them!

Anyway, congrats to everyone who has already graduated and good luck to those of you ( like me) who are still trudgin' through. God willin' and the creek don't rise we'll make it!

Have a great day everyone!

Im seventeen, going through the pre req's. I work as a cna on a snf/rehab floor. I also dont disclose my age readily as most people tend to think i have no skills when they find out...I have been doing this work for three years and am in the process of furthering my medical qualification. Im good at what i do, who cares how old I am?

hey all, this is my very first post!!!

I am 24 and working on prereq's. I hope to get into a hospital based diploma program, because the hospital near me is one of the best in the area. I am so excited about being back in school (dropped out of community college in 96) and my hubby is COMPLETELY backing me) By the time I start the nursing program (either the ADN or diploma) I will be 25. I have no kids, just a WONDERFUL sweet fantastic hubby who I have been married to for 4 years (almost) and 2 great cats. I am a massage therapist which is great because the part time hours work great with school.

I am so at peace with the world now that I have decided to go for the RN. I have wanted this forever!!

Hello to all. I am 22, almost 23, just graduated last month from an ADN program and am working as a RN on a Neuro/Trauma Unit and loving it! It is nice to know that there are other people my age going into nursing. Good luck to everyone!
