How many times can you take boards?

I think there was a thread some where on here saying that you can take the boards as many times as you want as long as you pass within 3 years from the original application date. Does anyone know if this information is correct?

yeah you could take it as many times, but sometimes it depends on the state boards, they might give you 3 or 4 chances and you would ahve to wait 45days before you can retake it

In NC you can take the boards every 45 days for up to 4 years, then if you still have not passed you have to retake courses.,
