How Many Points Did You Have?

Published

Hey everyone.

I've been an LPN for the past 10 years, and have finally decided to do the bridge program at Valencia College (Orlando, FL).

I met with my adviser today and found that I'm sitting at 43 points. She said that put me smack dab in the middle so she couldn't tell me what chances I had of making it into the bridge program.

Has anyone else applied to the Advanced Standing Track at Valencia? How many points did you get and did you get in with those points or not?

Any suggestions on how to be more competitive if I don't happen to get in this cycle? I can't retake anything since I don't have anything below a B (they only let you retake if you have a D or an F).

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks so much!

I applied at Valencia for the spring term, I have less points than you :-( not sure what my chances are. I asked the lady at the desk and she said about 20-30 people applied, they only accept 20.

BTW, I have been an LPN since 2003, but took 6 years off when I had my kids. So, I am excited to finally start this process! !

I applied for the Spring term as well, right at the same points as you. The adviser said that it would be 4-6 weeks before we would get the decisions emailed to us. It's been 5 weeks since the deadline hit.

I'm sooo nervous. Have either of you gotten an email yet?

Nothing yet :-(

I was told 5-7 weeks

I was told 5-7 weeks

I saw that online. That means we still have 2 more weeks to wait. I just really hope they stay on schedule. I'm going nuts checking every day hahaha

I see comments that the generic track students have been notified, so we are next. Hopefully sooner than later.

I set up my atlas email on my phone so it's easier to check :-/

I didn't even realize I could do that!

/off to download the app so I can obsess properly

Lol, I did it through my phone email settings not an app.

I hooked up the email on my phone, thanks for that idea!

Still nothing. Le sigh.

Hey lpn_mom, have you heard anything yet?
