How many months it will take to get a permanent RN license through endorsement?

I have Michigan license and do have SSN(graduated from Michigan) and the state Michigan is not under Nursys. I have filled the application to Michigan Board to send the license verification to BON of CA. I mailed all the documents to Sacarmento 16-17 days back. Now I asked them what all documents they received thinking that if everything is there, I can drive to Sacramento and get the temp license on the same day, they say they have not received my application yet. I don't know if I need to wait for 2 more weeks or if it'll be worth driving to Sacramento if they have nothing in my name as they said.

Also, I know the college needs to send trascripts for permanent license. How about the subjects other than nursing I did back home? Like microbiology,anatomy for which the credit was transferred in Michigan, does the college back home also have to send transcripts to Bon,CA for those subjects ? Once again thanks for the prompt previous replies, really appreciate it.

It takes approximately two months on average, but you do not need a permanent license to begin working, just the temporary is fine.
I actually went to Sacremento on Friday, and began my job on Monday.......

Did you send the application by regular mail? They get tons of mail literally every day, so it is anyone's guess as to where your application is at this point. As long as they have the verification form from Michigan, then you can just fill out another application and get your temporary. Your hold-up is going to be with MI verifying.

Not sure if they will want your transcripts from your home country, especially since your nursing training was done in the US. Best thing is just to ask when you go for your temporary.

Did you send the verification form to Lansing at the same time? You can check with them to see when they sent it out.............you can also request that they send a copy by fax to CA BON.
