I applied for my NY license back in late Feb./early March and here it is June already and I don't have it. Does anyone know how long it usually takes? I looked on the website to call, but couldn't find a number for that. I am trying to be patient, but hoping they received everything and aren't waiting on something I may have forgotten.

Still waiting for a response myself... I heard it was a long process 3 or 4 forms and your school has to mail paperwork and what not all sounds frustrating:banghead:

There's another thread here with my experience, but it took over three months for me and it would have taken longer had I not started calling every day asking which forms had arrived yet and can I please have my license now.. :)
If you look on the NY board of nursing website it has a number and an email. Start calling! :)

It took me 2 months. I did the online Nursys license verification system, and made sure all the paperwork was in order.

Did you take the required infection control and child abuse reporting course? Or did you have that as part of your coursework already?
I applied, and took the online courses, about two months ago, and still waiting for the license.

Just to let you know if you are a new Grad like me, it also depends on when your schools Nursing dept. sent in all the info to your state building....
That's where it begins....

It took me roughly two months. I called every week for a status update after the first month had gone by.
I've heard horror stories. Good luck.
