How long it takes for the board to contact me after they receive my eligibility paper

Published

Hi

I just took my Hesi on Nov. 4 and passed it :yeah:, however i have not heard anything from the board about my nclex test. finally another student was able to get a hold of some one on the board and they told her that we are not going to hear anything from them until feb. 2010. On their website it says it usually take 4-8 weeks. Does any one know how long it takes? Please if you know the answer let me know. :sniff:

ps. Is there anything that i can do about it?

thanks proundnursern, that seemed really fast, iwish mine was the same.

From what I remember your school contacts the board with 'permission' to sit for the boards. It took longer for December graduates to hear from the boards because school closed for the holidays before our documentation was sent. We also had to graduate first.

I graduated July 10th, (it was a Friday), and I was able to sign up for my boards through pearsonvue on Monday.... Are you not scheduling your boards through pearsonvue? You should look into that... most schools use their testing centers. They send all of your information to the BON, then the BON sends you an autorization to test letter, then you go back on pearsonvue and schedule your test date. You need to ask them what testing center they're using.... this is strange.

kristinlpn, that autorization test letter is my problem, because i have not yet received it. i have called the board all the day yesterday and today but their is down, i think it is horrible if they keep my papers.

What state is this in? I would sit on hold all day just to make sure that they received the necessary paperwork. The US postal service is not 100% reliable all the time. You should call and make sure they even received the information!!!!

kristinlpn, it is in northen california, bay area. actually i got a tracking number and when I searched it I found out that the board has received it. I have called all day and the board 's phone is down due to heavy call volume. now what i am worrid about is what if the board is holding on to my group 's paper 's until every one else at my school has passed their school exit exam, would that be possible?

I would hope not... call your school and ask them about pearsonvue....

kristinlpn, thanks for the info. i went on pearsonvue and i saw how i can register however i need to have the ATT to be able to register. do you know how i can get that? do i have wait for board to give me the ATT?

kristinlpn, i just registered with pearsonvue and ia m suppose to send them 200 dollars. do you know how long it would take to receive my ATT number?

It shouldn't take any longer than 2-3 weeks. They do a background check, and if yours is ok, it will come through the mail. Then you go on the website and pick your test date and center.

i just called the pearsonvue today and theytold me that i need to get a confirmation from the board, and if i pay the 200 dollars i am putting the money at risk.
